What languages do you teach?

We offer Arabic and Urdu.

How are the classes taught during the pandemic?

Classes are taught online as well as face to face at our Headquarters at THE GEM Multicultural Center in Plano, Texas.

How often are Urdu classes held?

Class meets twice a week (one day live and one day asynchronous). Teachers will hold live classes once a week and assign interactive review, enrichment activities and recordings to be completed on each learner’s own time.

How often are Arabic classes held?

Arabic class is held once or twice a week.

What is the course duration?

Course duration per semester is between 13-15 weeks.

What time zone are classes posted on the website?

All class timings posted on our website are in Central Standard Time (CST).

What is the class size?

We offer small group classes.

Do you offer make-up classes?

We do not offer make up classes. However, we have homework help sessions each month. Students must sign up in advance to attend these tutoring sessions.

Do you give homework?

Yes, teachers do assign hoomework.

Do you share class recordings if I miss a class?

No, we do not share class recordings.

Are you an accredited insitution?

ALIA is a globally accredited school. Students can earn middle and high school world language credits. ALIA is accredited by Cognia. Cognia accreditation represents the unified policies and procedures for accreditation and certification from its Accreditation Divisions: North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
